Admission Criteria

The Legal Education Rules framed by the Bar Council of India prescribe that for admission to five year integrated B.A., LL.B., degreee course a candidate should have:

a) passed the Higher Secondary School Examination (10+2) conducted by Central / State Board or equivalent recognised by Pondicherry University securing not less than 45% marks in the aggregate in case of general category and 40% marks in aggregate in the case of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes candidates.

b) not completed 20 years of age as on 1st July of the year of admission. In case candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Other Backward Class, they shall not have completed 22 years of age as on that date. Consequent on passing interim order by the Hon’ble Supreme Court staying the age limit for law admission prescribed by BCI, others may also apply. However, their admission will be subject to the outcome of the final order to be passed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court.

The admission for the course is purely on academic merit subject to the rules of reservation determined by Andaman and Nicobar Administration. With the intake of 40 students every year, the student strengh of the college is 167.
