Andaman Law College is housed in Transport Bhawan which is situated in the heart of Port Blair. The college campus has an elegant display of three storeyed building inclusive of essential amenities to the students for comfortable stay. Students have a fair opportunity to discover their innate potentialities by using Wi-Fi enabled information technology in computer lab.
The physical infrastructure facilities namely smart class room, e-library, computer lab, etc., fulfil their quest for knowledge. The auditorium, indoor games give fillip to their physical and mental well being. A bird’s eye view from the second floor of the college is a treat to the eyes to witness the mountain, coconut trees, cloudy sky and incessant rain.
Library is the heart of every academic institution and plays a prominent role in dissemination of knowledge. Andaman Law College library is manned by professionally qualified librarian who also manages the entire IT facilities available in the college. The library has a collection of over 3000 books covering wide range of general and special subjects comprising of text books, reference books, back volumes of journals, magazines, periodicals, reports etc.
The library functions from 09:00 am till 05:00 pm on all working days of the week. The library has an open access system to facilitate the students and staff to have access to library resource. Library collection has consistently being augmented to comply with the emerging demands of the library user. A responsive procurement process incorporating requisitions from faculty, students and the visiting luminaries has been followed with a view to ensure optimum utilisation of procured titles.
Andaman Law College is well connected by municipal roads and national highways. Students have adequate access to the college through state and private transport buses, autorickshaws and daily ferry.
Andaman Law College has a computer lab having 25 desktop computers with Microsoft operating system equipped with optical drive. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Apart from computer lab, the Wi-Fi facility is made available in the classroom, faculty chambers and office of the Principal making legal education technically sound.
Andaman Law College has a seminar hall which will accommodate more than 150 audience. Programs like seminars, conferences, special lectures are being organised in the seminar hall. Efforts are being now taken for improving additional facilites.
As a healthy mind requires a healthy body, Andaman Law College has evinced keen interest in providing sports facilities for the students. At present, the college has indoor facility for table tennis, carom, chess and ball badminton. In collaboration with the JNRM, students are enabled to utilise the outdoor facility for football, basketball, volley ball, cricket etc. The students are encouraged to participate in the university, state and national sports events.
