Principal's Desk

Dear Students,
It gives me immense pleasure to share with you the remarkable journey of Andaman Law College. Andaman Law College was established in the year of 2016 by Andaman & Nicobar Islands Legal Education Society (ANILES), with a noble cause of offering legal education to the natives of the islands. The college is going to celebrate its decennial anniversary in the coming year 2026. With the active support and encouragement of the Andaman & Nicobar Administration, and through the dedicated efforts of its faculty and staffs, Andaman Law College has successfully established a credible presence in the field of legal education. The fifth successive batch (2020-2025) is appearing for its final examinations, and it is expected that they will come out with flying colours..

The college offers much more than academic instruction. We believe in holistic legal education; blending theory with practice. Our Legal Aid Clinic operates in collaboration with the State and District Legal Services Authorities, allowing students to engage directly with real-world legal issues. The institution has also been proactive in organizing national conferences, seminars, webinars, workshops, legal awareness drives, and special lectures to expose students to current developments in the legal field.

Our students have represented the college in moot court competitions across the country, demonstrating their advocacy skills and academic merit. A matter of recent pride was when three of our students secured the top three positions in the Viksit Bharat – Youth Parliament 2025, representing the Andaman & Nicobar Islands at the national level held at the New Parliament Building, New Delhi.

At Andaman Law College, our guiding philosophy is enshrined in our motto: “DharmoRakshatiRakshitah” which means “The law protects those who uphold it.” We aim to nurture not only competent legal professionals but also socially conscious citizens committed to justice and integrity.

As you consider joining our academic family, I invite you to be a part of this journey: one that empowers, enlightens, and prepares you for a meaningful legal career.
